Deal: Pre-order the HTC U11 for just $599, $50 less that its regular price

It's been just a few hours since the official announcement of HTC's new flagship, the U11, and we're already starting to see the promos start trickling in. Where other manufacturers would shove a pre-order bonus or two for early adopters, HTC chose the much simpler strategy of just shaving off $50 instead, provided you know the correct promo code.

While the discount itself isn't listed anywhere on the device's page, entering the code LOVEU11 (Edit: ONLY4U11 and JUST4U11 seem to work as well) at checkout from HTC's own web store will let you get the brand-new flagship for $599, down from its regular $649. The deal, unfortunately, only seems to apply to US residents, as other regional sites reject the code, though we imagine similar promos will start popping up in other countries soon. It also works on all versions of the phone, including the Sprint and Verizon ones. As previously announced, pre-orders for the phone will start shipping in June.

The U11 itself is HTC's proper 2017 flagship, offering top of the line specs and a good-looking design. It's one of the first devices to launch with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, and also packs 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Its standout feature, however, is the so-called Edge Sense, which detects when the user squeezes the phone and responds with an appropriate action.
