Popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has left KGI Securities and may no longer focus on Apple in the future, according to the ChinaTimes via Bloomberg.

"Congratulations to Ming Chi-Kuo (the best analyst covering Apple) who is leaving KGI for another firm, and reportedly moving on to cover innovative non-Apple companies," tweeted Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

The ChinaTimes suggests that Kuo may be planning to do work for mainland brokers or global research institutions.

It is reported that Guo Minghao's future areas of responsibility are also likely to no longer focus on Apple, but to extend to more emerging industries.

Kuo began working for KGI back in 2012 and has been touted as 'the best Apple analyst on the planet' predicting upcoming Apple products with exceptional accuracy. Previously, he worked at Concord and DigiTimes.

For 2018, Kuo has predicted that Apple will release three new iPhones, a 5.8-inch OLED iPhone, a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, and a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone.
